The first Gillissen event of the new board
We were curious how the registrations would go. The first registrations arrived fairly quickly, but after that it stopped for a while. On the day itself there were 44 people in the upper room of restaurant Havenrijk in Uitgeest. After everyone had finished their coffee and had exchanged some information with each other, the new chairman Wout Kraaijeveld picked up the microphone to explain the program of this day.
Before lunch there was a representative from PC Navigo. The man explained via beamer and screen how this system worked. In addition to PCNavigo, there are other systems that enter this market. Soon there was a lively discussion between the representative and the Gillissen members until lunch.
Lunch was served downstairs in the restaurant and soon the experiences of the past cruising season were exchanged. Like which marina you should no longer visit and where the diesel is cheapest.
After lunch, the whole club went upstairs again to listen and to enter into a discussion with the representative of “Varen doe je Samen”. The man soon found out that there were many years of cruising experience present. Again, a question and answer game and the man was even corrected a few times. Actually to soon this afternoon came to an end and the board can look back on a successful day and on to the 2019 Whitsun weekend in Spakenburg.
